What's Not to Love About a Giant Hat?

A writer on the brink; a gourmand (as opposed to a gourmet) and gastronome; an Oxford comma fan; a lover of asides; an editor in the worst way (a purse isn't fully stocked without a fine-tipped red pen); a travel junkie; a kindred spirit; a Southern Yankee or New Orleanian New Yorker; and a bit of a snarky smartass. Back story? My unnatural devotion to fine food stems from having literally grown up in a restaurant kitchen, but being the Food Editor for Where Y'at Magazine and writing for various publications and web sites about all things edible hasn't helped me overcome this crippling addiction. But like any good junkie, I'm hellbent on the fix and don't care to be cured. Also like a good junkie, I will stab you for your noodles--and that's no joke.
